Marvara is a high-energy party band with some of the finest musicians from Belgium and the Nordic countries.

Belgian bagpipe player Marieke Van Ransbeeck is the composer and artistic leader of the band. On bagpipes, diatonic accordion, bass, percussion and perform music that reflects Marieke’s experiences and memories from a breathtaking musical journey across NorthernEurope.

In January 2023 Marvara won aFlanders Folk Award for “Most Promising Band”. They were also nominated for “Best Live Band”.

Marvara has built a wild live reputation at different festivals and venues in Iceland, Denmark, Sweden,Belgium and Finland! They presents their music through an interactive show that will tease all of your senses.
