Event Description
Chapel Street Strings have been making music and giving concerts together since 2019, when they came together under the umbrella of Chapel Street Music, Penzance. They are made up from some of the finest young string players in West Cornwall, frequently performing together in the Chapel Street Music Series and also as members of ‘Live Music Now’, in a wide range of different community contexts.
On August 31st they will present a wide-ranging programme of music in different styles. This will include music by Mozart, Schubert, Dvorak, Boccherini and Piazzolla, as well as arrangements of popular music and songs by Gershwin, Cole Porter and Rodgers and Hammerstein.
