Event Description

Always a Penlee favourite, True Foxes, an up and coming folk/pop cousin duo from Cornwall, are quickly becoming a household name in the South West. Amie’s powerful vocals and soulful song writing has been compared to the likes of Stevie Nicks, Dolly Parton and Brandi Carlile, performing on Guitar with the addition of Ukulele, Banjo and Piano. Together with Chloe’s ethereal harmonies and melodic bass lines the duo’s storytelling and sisterly banter takes the audience on an emotional journey.

Described as ‘the hardest working female duo in the South West’ (BBC introducing) the self-managed duo performed at 140 shows in 2022. Travelling in their little white van, they took their music outside of the South West into major cities across England, Scotland and Wales, including two UK Support tours with renowned folk bands Flats and Sharps and The Magpies, receiving incredible reviews across some prestigious venues such as the Liverpool Philharmonic and The Water Rats in London.

The beginning of 2022 saw the release of the duo’s debut EP ‘Sunny’ which was featured on multiple radio stations, including BBC Radio Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. They then went on to hit the major UK festivals such as Wilderness in Oxford and Boardmasters, as well as performing on the main stages at Tunes in the Dunes, Great Estate, Rock Oyster and RattlerFest.

Boundless Brothers pose in front of a brick wall.

Boundless Brothers are a three-piece alt/pop/rock band. Renowned for their piercing lyrics, timeless melodies and hypnotic harmonies, there’s a magic in the air when Boundless Brothers play live. Ever since being showcased by the likes of The Guardian and BBC Introducing, Sam Wilson (lead vocals and guitar), Seb Wilson (bass guitar, keyboards and vocals) and Bo Payne (drums, vocals) have built an impressive following across the south-west and beyond. They’ve supported mainstream artists such as The Proclaimers, Newton Faulkner, and Top Loader, and performed at festivals across the land, everywhere from Tunes in the Dunes, Oceanfest, Weyfest and Looe Music Festival to Shrewsbury Festival, Clarence Park Festival and Port Eliot. With 8 Singles and 2 EP’s already under their belt, they have developed an admirable catalogue of original material. 2023 promises a summer single and their first full album later in the year. “Gorgeous three-part harmonies, tight instrumental arrangements and lovely uplifting original songs” – Sarah McQaid Website: Boundless Brothers

Sharing the stage together with a set from each, Boundless Brothers and True Foxes may just surprise you with an exciting collaboration or two blending together their unique sounds. It promises to be a night to remember in a fantastic setting.
