Jack Dean & Company are a disabled-led, artist-owned non-profit & band set up to help tell stories of how things could be. They collaborate with inspiring and exceptional artists to create work across a range of art forms, with a focus on touring live shows.

Tiny Violins is a music show featuring songs from the band’s new album of the same name, set to be released in spring 2024.

The album is a magpie’s nest of English folk, hip-hop, indie and midwest emo, with lyrics exploring anarchist theory, greek mythology and living with a super wonky brain.

The band will also be playing a few songs from their previous shows, and creating some songs from scratch live on stage using loop pedals and audience contributions and are committed to offering people across the UK the chance to dream of a different world, whatever the current one may hold!

Current projects include Jeremiah, a gig-theatre epic about the Luddite rebellion, and Hero & Leander, a bittersweet outdoor musical that tours with a portable bandstand.

Jack Dean is a poet, playwright, performer, rapper and composer. His work uses modern technology to tell stories that wander the lands between myth, memory and history. He has toured internationally, including performances at Latitude Festival, the Southbank Centre and the Bowery Poetry Club in New York. He is the creator of the Fogland Lighthouse podcast and a whole bunch of albums.

* This is a Pay What You Decide event. Details in the drop down menu : tickets ranging from £6 – £14. PWYD is a pricing strategy designed to encourage new audiences to try, what may be for them, new work. It requires audiences to book in advance, PWYD is about affordability: customers still pay in advance but set the price themselves; the implication is that they pay what they can afford and thus we hope to encourage new audiences.
